We base our component level analysis upon applying “client-chosen” or original country of manufacture (global labor pools) and relevant annual production volumes. We take this information and establish an estimated manufacturing cost data point for our client. Cypress Labs will typically provide comparative reports to clients who wish to understand the deltas of manufacturing cost for comparative production volumes and countries of manufacturing origin.

For Commodity Components we source across the board for suppliers to find the best quantity-one procurement price based on the applied annual volumes. We then apply our specific knowledge of the buying power associated with that volume and the aggregate buying power of the very specific Contract Manufacturer that is actually building the product.

For Fabricated Components and Materials, we provide a benchmark for what it should cost any manufacturer to make each of these components. We do this employing our extensive knowledge of “world class” manufacturing practices, assembly times, tooling costs and overhead costs.

Our cost-effective and time efficient process gives value to our clients- we can return a report on a “loaded” PC notebook, (for example) in about 5 days from the time the product analysis begins in our Labs to the delivery of the results in both e-mail and presentation quality hard copy.
